I studied biology with a focus on ecology and marine/envrionmental sciences at Georgia Southern University and completed an undergraduate honors research thesis on the adherence of microplastics to macroalgae. I gained laboratory experience in ecological research and developed public speaking and communication skills through many presentations and collaborations with faculty and students. I was also a member of our leadership organization, Southern Leaders, and became a community service trip leader for our Serve912 community outreach program. After graduating with honors and earning my Bachelor's of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry, I participated in the Disney College Program where I improved my interpersonal and leadership skills in an extremely diverse and fast paced environment. I am extremely eager to learn and want to pursue a hands-on career in environmental or marine sciences.
