I am current working in green energy field, especially in solid-state lithium battery, and designing the laboratory facility and equipments, especially in-situ techniques, including in-situ XRD, in-situ Raman etc., which will be opened to public in the future. I obtained my doctoral degree in National Cheng Kung University, and my major was in Materials Science and Engineering. My dissertation thesis is about the growth and characterization of graphene, the results of which had been published to several scientific journals. Not only graphene, but I also focused on synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, such as ZnO, and CuO nanomaterials etc. In these researches, I was mainly in charge of making the electrical device and measuring electrical properties by semiconductors fabrication processes, and characterizing the crystallinity by several material analysis technique, such as XRD, SEM, Raman, and TEM. During my PH.D. program, I went to Argonne National Laboratory, U.S. as an exchanged scholar. My advisers were Orlando Auciello, who is MRS Fellow, and Dean Miller, who has expertise in TEM analysis technique. They taught me a lot about how to conduct a good research. After graduation, I entered into Genesis Photonics inc. as a senior R&D engineer, to develop blue LED chips with low forward voltage and high emission. I was responsible for developing and modifying recipe for LED structure growing on sapphire wafer by MOCVD. I also maintained the yield of LED wafer production and managed LED wafer carriers for MOCVD. During the generation transferring from 2-inch wafer to 4-inch wafer, 4-inch-wafer carriers have shorter life time, due to the 4-inch wafer has heavier centrifugal force when running the process. And I cooperated with a manufacturer to develop a repair method to increase the life time of 4-inch-wafer carriers, and reducing the cost of carriers by 30%.
