I conducted research to bridge the vision of peace of Daisaku Ikeda, a worldwide Buddhist leader, and the one of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan Bin Talal, a member of the Jordanian Royal Family, active for reconciliation in the Middle East, and founder of this Research Institute. I introduced my case in a symposium hosted by His Royal Highness.Besides the individual research, the team of interns was responsible for researching themes assigned by the Director, digitalizing the archive, and contributing to networking and organizing events.

I worked for Professor R. Asayama in his class Translation 1 and Translation 2 for BA students. Other than performing administrative work, I was reading and commenting on students' translations of short texts from Japanese to English.

I was the Italian instructor at the World Language Center at Soka University. I held four sessions weekly, two for beginners and two for intermediate/advanced. My role was to design the class in a fun and creative way and facilitate the conversation.

I conducted fieldwork in the branch in South Africa to collect qualitative data for my Master's thesis. I held interviews in multiple languages with human rights activists and members of the organization, and participant observation in the marginalized community in the village of Ocean View, Cape Town. Besides that, I was in charge of hosting events and assisting my supervisor on field trips. This organization is active in the field of peace education and is present in more than 40 countries; I had the honour to witness the launching of the new branch in Zimbabwe.

I was responsible for facilitating the learning process of first-generation immigrant children. I was keeping track of their progress with the Italian language and assessing strategies for social integration at school. My priority was to create a positive and stimulating environment in the culture centre. With the team of interns and volunteers, I contributed to organizing events which also involved other NGOs and the municipality.

I was providing assistance to students, researchers and professors at the front desk at the Department of History and Anthropology. My main responsibilities were doing the book registration (check-in and check-out), in-presence supervising, and archive tasks.
