Well, the short answer is that we have been tentmaking missionaries (that is, I worked a secular job to provide for my family, see work history here) in Cuiaba. Since then, we have been helping missionaries John Raehl with church planting and Peter Doolittle with camp ministry. So, for those co-workers and friends that have been asking me all these years why we came back from the USA, that was the main reason. We could have always worked, lived, enjoyed the culture and lifestyle, and made more money in the USA, but we felt the call from God to come back to Cuiabá and ministry here. Since last year (2018) we have been seeking God's will for our future, and He has convicted both Shari and me to focus our time on full-time mission work as church planters in Cuiaba! With that in our hearts, it was easy to not accept the new position from my previous employer, that would require us moving from Cuiabá (May/2019)! We have since joined BIMI, our mission board, and we are gearing up to start church planting ministry in Cuiaba, MT. Show less
