I started out as a wine educator in 2010. I put up a small wine education business called 5 & 1/2 Twists with the intention of making wine understandable, friendly and non intimidating. I hosted "talk and taste" sessions with private clients and started working with some retailers/importers in Manila, Philippines. I moved to Ho Chi Minh City in 2013 and continued my wine education business there, flying to HK for classes at the Asian Wine Service & Education Centre (AWSEC) where I eventually completed my Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 certification and proceeded to study DipWSET. In 2014, I moved to Bangkok, Thailand where my family and I were posted until 2019. I relocated back to Manila, Philippines in September of 2019. In January 2020, I joined Sommelier Selection Inc (SSI) as their Wine Programs and Communication Manager. I have since left SSI but continue to work in the wine industry as a wine educator through 5 & 1/2 Twists, collaborating with fellow educators, wine importers, distributors and retailers to make wine accessible to the everyday Filipino. I was formerly the Quality and Wine Education Manager at Winery.ph. I am now the General Manager at (SUPER)NATURAL Wines.
