I’m a serial entrepreneur with 20 years of C-suite experience taking on hard-to-solve problems. My latest venture is Kapeesh, which I started with a vision to eliminate STEM illiteracy. It’s a chat-based homework help and test review platform for high school and college students.I believe:- in public schools’ mission of making the best education accessible to everyone. - that genius is distributed equally across zip codes, but opportunity is not. - that the future of our country lies in making the next generation competitive in the world, through math and science literacy. - that we can unlock major potential in our kids by providing unprecedented levels of support, which most of our schools, especially ones in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, are not well-resourced enough to provide. - that by leveraging technology to supplement school curricula, we can help take some of the burden off of overworked teachers, and reduce students’ confusion and fear around complex math and science topics.Schools are under-funded, and they’re constantly being asked to do more and more with less and less. Tons of stories out there about overworked and underpaid teachers just straight up quitting the teaching profession. And it’s heart-breaking…We need to do something to stop this. And we need to do it NOW! If we can just get some outside help for kids when they are the most engaged in studying, we can turn on light bulbs and maybe we can get more of them interested in STEM careers.Kapeesh is trying to do exactly that. We're helping tons of kids on the platform and they’re absolutely loving it! What’s really gratifying to me is that most of them are seeing their grades go up dramatically. In one case, this student told me she went from 58% in her math class to 83% after just a month of getting help. And I’m seeing this kind of experience over and over again. You know the best part? We can do all this at a no-brainer price point that won’t break the bank! Please join me in making this happen.
