NeonCollective.com was my first entrepreneurial venture - an eco/vegan fashion eCommerce boutique. Within the first year of launching it won several awards including RSPCA Good Business Award for fashion (awarded by Wayne Hemingway) and was nominated by fashion industry journal Drapers for Ethical Retailer of the Year. Component was one of the leading television post production facilities in London's Soho (now called Suite)I joined Component as one of only a handful of female UK online editors at the time. I managed to maintain and grow the companies client base with my efficient style and technical expertise. I was often required to work on quick turnaround projects and was the first ever out-of -house editor to cut Top Of The Pops.Starting in a digi-beta tape suite and subsequently migrating to Avid, I worked on a wide variety of productions including broadcast television, corporate productions, advertising and pop promo's. I often ran training sessions for the junior editors, assistants and runners, who have all gone on to have successful careers as editors themselves.

Working mainly on the Big Breakfast for Channel 4, I was able to refine my editing skills (under the guidance of Head of Post Production, Duncan Smith) in this high energy, fast paced, broadcast environment.
