Providing structured, person-centred support to people who are struggling with their mental health and finding it difficult to access the appropriate levels of support from mainstream services.Drawing on skills from training and work as a healthcare professional, lived experience of mental illness and personal recovery, research skills and ongoing regular supervision from a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, CHIME to Thrive places equal importance on prevention, early intervention and recovery approaches.We strongly believe that people shouldn't have to get to crisis point in order to receive the support they need.The service combines strength-based, solution-focused, clinical problem-solving and goal setting skills as well as application of best-available evidence; in particular the CHIME model of recovery and evidence around peer support. It also supports people to access existing services where appropriate.More than anything it is compassionate, non-judgemental and practical, and maintains the belief that things can get and will improve for the client, even when it is hard for them to believe this themselves, at first.In addition, CHIME to Thrive offers training and courses from a lived experience perspective, including on topics such as; co-production, recovery and how to (help people) thrive in the workplace in spite of mental illness.

I work within one of the biggest stroke units in the UK providing assessment, management and intervention as part of a skilled MDT across hyperacute, acute and rehabilitation wards for people with communication and swallowing impairments following stroke.In addition, I work within the community setting providing intervention to patients on the stroke pathway.
