Represented an indigent client in his Ninth Circuit appeal regarding an immigration matter. Drafted and filed a brief. Prepared for oral argument; however, did not argue because the Court granted our Motion to Remand. Assisted students in preparation for oral argument. Conducted research on various criminal issues including sex trafficking, campaign disclosure requirements, drug trafficking, mandatory minimums, competency, dog sniffs, and DUII checkpoints. Authored legal blog articles connecting the law and current events. Contrasted the laws of California, Nevada, and other states; as well as contrasting those laws to Federal law.
