New Alternatives, El Cajon, CA (06/17 – 10/2019)Providing leadership and guidance on clinical care and focus of the overarching vision of our program in serving at-risk youth with mental and behavioral health needs K-8th grade.Serving as a member of the leadership team for the agency, assuming all responsibility for oversight and management of the clinical services provided by a team of therapists and mental health workers in an intensive school based program serving children and adolescents with severe mental health diagnoses and disabilities. Oversee and manage Day Treatment level of care for students who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) with mental health and behavioral health needs. Collaborate and coordinate care with Cajon Valley School District and the seven surrounding school districts in San Diego's East County Region. Work in close collaboration with Special Education Director and Program Specialists to develop program wide changes to improve services for students with active IEP's. Provide oversight, support and direction to classroom behavioral specialists and program therapist. Act as a liaison between the school district and New Alternatives.

Provided in-home case management, behavior modification, and care coordination to at-risk youth and families throughout San Diego County. Supervised 1:1 behavioral coaching for clients with mental health and behavioral management needs who were at risk of being hospitalized or removed from their place of residence. Actively participated as a member of our Trauma Informed Care Committee to aid in the facilitation of program wide changes to improve quality of care to youth and families in our program and throughout our community.

Provided individual mental health therapy, group therapy, and case management in a residential group home for youth in foster care. Focused on helping youth successfully transition out of the foster care gain independence, and learn to be more self-sufficient. Coordinated and collaborated with County Social Workers, Child Welfare Services, CASA's, caregivers, psychiatrist, and other support persons in the youths life.
