Jason is a Senior Consultant at Wood Mackenzie’s consulting practice and is based in London.Jason has extensive technical, modeling, and policy knowledge across the downstream and the wider energy sector. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Jason was the Energy Transition Analyst at Fuels Industry UK (the downstream trade association formerly known as UKPIA), developing government energy models (UK TIMES) and key policies in conjunction with the government in areas such as industrial decarbonization, carbon leakage, SAF/biofuels, and energy security. At Wood Mackenzie, Jason has been involved in projects such as:Development of refinery asset/competitiveness assessments and strategic outlooks for the oil products, to support refinery asset transactions in Northwest Europe and North America​.Conducted storage rate/trend and policy assessments to support clients in navigating the European Compulsory Stock Obligation (CSO) and the general European storage sector. Fuel supply study in support of a wider metals and mining project to ensure a secure and resilient supply chain of fuels to the mining site in a remote part of Sub-Saharan Africa.Jason holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Edinburgh. His thesis focused on modeling and incorporating novel energy storage technologies into the UK energy grid, in a Python-based whole energy systems model, PyPSA. Jason also holds a BSc in Physics from Lancaster University.
