I have been assisting the research of PhD fellow Maria Klara Kuss. I have assisted two research projects on Social Protection within Africa with a focus on women.

Maastricht Area, Netherlands

This internship was an assisting research position in the department of Migration and Development through which I assisted the evaluation of IOM program 'Connecting Diaspora for Development'. I worked with both quantitative data (processing and excel), and coded qualitative interviews using the Nvivo program.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

During this 5 month internship, I experienced a hands-on and in-depth project development in which i was tasked to research into the roadblocks for targeting and inclusion women in the media, and developing a an Information Needs Assessment for women in Sudan to be implemented for on the ground research. I was grateful to have worked alongside journalists from Sudan who exposed me to the current political and human rights developments. I also am grateful for the external organizations and contacts with Sudanese people who I have interviewed based in the UK to support me further with this research process.
