As a 6th grade teacher I instruct a diverse group of students in the general education setting using research-based instructional strategies; compose and facilitate daily lesson plans; utilize technology to plan, teach, and assess Common Core standards and individualized goals; utilize management techniques and teaching strategies to support students with disabilities in the general education setting; organize and maintain legal files and student data. I work as a teacher leader to help other teachers grow in their profession. I help teachers set attainable goals and create action items to reach those goals.

As a Teach For America Corps Member I was selected from approximately 45,000 applicants to join national teacher corps of outstanding leaders. I participated in intensive summer training program to develop knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to achieve transformational gains in student achievement and student development. I also taught in Atlanta Public Schools summer school program.

As a 4th grade teacher I established classroom rules and expectations, composed and facilitated daily lesson plans for all subject areas, graded assignments, and planned and collaborated with 3 other teachers.

I assisted staff, faculty, and students throughout the College of Education and Human Sciences with technology questions and issuesAs Lead Lab Consultant I supervised, organized, and coordinated tasks and regular maintenance for Apple and Windows computer labs and video conferencing rooms. I also assisted Instructional Technology instructors with technology questions and issues while teaching classes, worked particularly with iWeb and iMovie.
