During this time period, I helped transitioned the practice from Centricity EMR system to Athenahealth. I was responsible for transcribing the personal health information from patients' chart in Centricity into Athenahealth.

As a summer intern at Dr. Hoye's practice, I worked in all aspects of the office. I assisted with front desk administrators, fulfilling administrative tasks, such as filing, chart organization, and mailing appointment reminders. I also shadowed the medical assistants for two weeks, as well, which helped prepare for my current position. A majority of my time was spent with Dr. Hoye, sitting in on his appointments and functioning as his scribe. I was responsible for ensuring all the clinical information got recorded in their electric medical record, as well as ensuring that all meaningful use information was recorded.
