Hi, my name is Chloe Dewar. I am a freshman at the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, Florida. I am majoring in Hospitality Management, in one of the best ranked programs in the world at Rosen. I am very passionate about the Hospitality Industry, and I am looking to further my academic career and achieve hospitality industry opportunities, travel/study abroad and/or internship opportunities. I have a great deal of experience within this industry as I was the President of many clubs in Dr. Phillip's High School, where I was able to learn and compete in this field. I was the President of my high schools' Business Academy, DECA, and FBLA. The past few school years, I competed in a travel and tourism marketing team decision-making competitions where I placed 1st in my district. In 2024, for DECA, I placed 4th at the state conference and qualified for the international career development conference. Also in 2024, for FBLA, I competed in a hospitality and event management role play based competition where I also placed 1st in my district. It has been so amazing to be able to compete in something I am passionate about and that I am studying and a future career in this industry. In 2023, I attended the International Career Development Conference in which I attended a leadership academy called ELEVATE. I was able to learn and develop my skills and work toward being the best leader that I could be for my DECA chapter. I have taken marketing classes for four years at my high school and have achieved an Industry Certification Award in Entrepreneurship and Small Business. All of these accomplishments and courses have equipped me with the ability to succeed in the Hospitality Industry. I am so excited to learn more about this incredible industry and get some helpful insight on it!
