Following completion of my Advanced Apprenticeship I was employed as an Assistant Engineer. I continued working at Crossrail Farringdon Station. With the tunnel construction complete and the fit out stage underway I have most recently been working on the certification process. This includes providing all deliverable information and quality assurance documentation to satisfy the requirements of the specification.

During the final two years of my apprenticeship I worked in the Sprayed Concrete Lining (SCL) Tunnels at Farringdon Station (Crossrail). Roles and responsibilities included:• Shift Engineer on Primary Sprayed Concrete Lining• Supervising mining team• Supervising probing, spiling and permeation grouting operations• Secondary Lining Shift Engineer (Bespoke travelling shutter)• Supervising Subcontractors• Handover Engineer

I gained employment with BAM Nuttall Ltd in 2012 as part of the Civil Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship programme. The apprenticeship was a four year block release programme which allowed me to gain invaluable site experience whilst studying. During the first two years I worked on two of the Crossrail contracts; C300/410 Western Running Tunnels and then C435 Farringdon Station (Eastern Ticket Hall).
