I am a student at Indiana University majoring in Information Systems through the Kelley School of Business. I have always been interested in business from a young age, likely due to having several family members with careers in sales or marketing. This in turn has only made me more passionate to have a career in business. Currently, I am volunteering as a peer tutor for Kelley School of Business’s computer in business class offered at IU, which teaches the fundamentals of databases such as Access and Excel. I took this course my first semester on campus, which sparked an interest in the why information systems are so essential in the world of business. My next quest is to become a teacher’s assistant for this course in the next few years. When away from school for breaks, I work as a server at a country club in my hometown of Noblesville, IN. Working in the service industry has expanded my ability to work with others collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while satisfying the needs of patrons within the facility. Additionally, being a server has instilled in me the value of time management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Each of these skills have allowed me to be dynamic and successful in other areas of my life, academically and professionally.
