Google HotEvents identifies top-searched queries in order to curate user-facing content for mobile and Google Home users in the US.- Curated, created and top-edited brief descriptions covering a wide range of topics, from breaking news and politics to popular culture and entertainment.- Wrote and edited news summaries for Google Home on subjects ranging from hard/breaking news to sports to celebrities. Helped pilot a version of this for users in India.- Assisted Google Crisis Response in detecting global crises and sourcing content for user-facing SOS Alerts.

Responsible for business and fundraising activities of Jewish Student Press Service, the 501(c)(3) non-profit that publishes New Voices. Worked with donors and wrote grant proposals.

I started in January 2014 after having contributed writing and photography to the Journal since September 2013. As Assistant News Editor, I worked with the News Editor and two other Assistant News Editors to help generate story ideas for the section. I wrote one to three stories per issue, covering such topics as student government elections, service fees and student activism. I wrote headlines for my own stories and others.As well as writing, I contributed photography, primarily for News and Sports. I helped layout the section in Adobe InDesign. During breaking news coverage and AMS Assemblies, I live-tweeted from @QJnews.

As a contributor/staff writer, I covered the Queen's University women's soccer team, the Golden Gaels. I attended home games, interviewed the coach and wrote recaps and articles.As a staff photographer, I contributed photography to various sections including News, Sports and Arts.

As a multimedia reporting intern, I wrote up to five pieces per week, including news articles, features and briefs. I pitched articles and took photos to accompany them.Over the course of a 12-week internship, I earned 38 bylines. Several of my stories were featured on the front page, and some articles were picked up by the QMI Agency and reprinted in publications including the Toronto Sun.

I took photos of fans throughout the stadium before and during games so that they would have physical memories of the New York Mets games they attended. I consistently met a quota of 400 photos per game and interacted with hundreds of fans per game.I was trained to work at the green-screen station, where I photographed fans in front of a green screen and sold them the edited prints.When the Mets hosted the All-Star Game in 2013, I worked at FanFest at the Javits Center for four days, as well as the game itself. During this period, I shot over 800 photos per day.
