As someone who grew up traveling the country to watch football, my interest in sports has only grown as I have witnessed the various aspects of sport marketing and management. I have understood the importance of being an ambitious learner and having an open mind, which has now reflected onto the opportunities I have had at the college level. I am currently a senior at Indiana University's Media School studying Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Sport Marketing and Management. I have a passion for leading others, making an impact on individuals and organizations, and effectively managing roles I am responsible for.I started my college experience as a news reporter and news anchor for Indiana University Student Television. Through this organization I gained interviewing, communication, and time management skills that I will continue to expand. Near the end of my first year, I decided to stretch my interests, and I am now the Marketing Director for IUSTV. With this, I founded a Marketing/Public Relations team of 20 media school students who take photographs, create graphics, and upload weekly episodes for each of our news, sports, and entertainment departments. I have witnessed what is needed to make a successful organization, the various marketing and public relation aspects that go into reaching a target audience, and the leadership needed to apply my skills to specific roles.Apart from the Media School, I am a Student Ambassador for the Indiana University Office of Admissions, the Recruitment Chair for Greek InterVarsity, and the Director of Lifetime Engagement for Alpha Omicron Pi. I am an intentional leader with goals to impact each individual I have the opportunity to connect with. I enjoy planning events, engaging with audiences, and maintaining a positive image for each organization I am connected to.
