Support the strategic direction of the New England Environmental Finance Center and lead programs related to climate resilience and water infrastructure. Work with communities across New England to identify environmental priorities and advance projects to the funding and implementation stage. This includes working with small coastal towns to secure funding for projects that build resilience to climate change, advancing green stormwater infrastructure in urban centers, and helping water utilities navigate financing options for drinking water and wastewater infrastructure improvements. Develop a five-year strategic work plan and associated multi-million dollar budget for core funder U.S. EPA. Hire, train, and manage staff and student interns.

Managed climate action planning and community resilience programs; worked directly with municipalities to conduct climate vulnerability and risk assessments, action planning and prioritization, and provide strategic guidance on funding and financing approaches. Oversaw budgets, subawards/contracts, and reporting to federal and state funders.

Provided research and analysis, writing and editing, project management, strategy development, and communications support to client projects related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable urban development, and conservation finance. Projects included Rhode Island’s Three-Year and Annual Energy Efficiency Plans (National Grid); Net Zero Energy Feasibility Study and Research Roadmap (City of Lewiston, Maine); Water Fund Capitalization Engagement and Communications Strategy (Sebago Clean Waters).

Received a Valle Scholarship for Scandinavian Exchange to work with Dr. Natalie Gulsrud in the Department of Natural Resource Management at the University of Copenhagen. Investigated best practices for engaging underrepresented populations in green infrastructure planning and management as part of the EU-funded VIVA-PLAN project, a multidisciplinary research effort to revitalize spaces around public housing to promote environmental stewardship and social inclusion. Conducted a literature review on the socio-economic implications of urban greening in marginalized residential areas.

Worked with a human-centered design consultant team to improve IHME data visualization tools for use in evidence-based public health decision making.

Managed multiple research teams, ensuring timely production of population health estimates of child malnutrition and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals. Oversaw data cleaning and analysis, supported interpretation of results, and contributed to peer-reviewed publications. Supervised 5 data analysts; defined responsibilities, monitored progress, and enabled skill development. Managed relationships with external partners and translated research findings into policy relevant information and tools for measuring progress and allocating resources.

Managed a global network of over 1,000 partners working in household energy access under the Clean Cooking Alliance. Crafted tools, knowledge products, and webinars to support partner activities. Organized and facilitated stakeholder workshops in Guatemala, synthesizing findings into a national strategy for clean cookstoves and fuels informed by over 100 local and international partners. Presented at conferences in Colombia, Guatemala, and Peru.

Organized observation and learning trips showcasing the work of the Clean Cooking Alliance to high-level donors and UN partners in Ghana and Kenya. Supported the planning and execution of a five day, 500-person international conference, including managing a call for abstracts, supporting agenda development, and organizing local site visits.

Conducted research and prepared policy briefs and memos for senior staff, compiled materials for delegations abroad, and planned events for high-level partnerships.
