As a senior product designer at Vena Solutions, I guided the user experience of our cloud-based web application as well as the interface for its integrations management tool. I interfaced daily with Vena's internal users of our platform, as well as external clients all over the world to help them achieve their finance goals through a well-designed SaaS experience. I also managed the design team's goal-setting and liaisons with other departments. As an active contributor to company culture, I founded the accessibility and eco-conscious employee resource groups, and started a component library for a team of 70+ developers. I represented the company at various tech/design-related events.

I was a Lead Instructor in BrainStation's User Experience and User Interface Design programs over nine semesters. Through these 10-week part-time programs, I guided students through the fundamentals of user experience, design thinking, creative problem solving, visual design and prototyping their own mobile app.I worked actively on the course curriculum throughout each semester, keeping it up-to-date with the changing industry. I also represented BrainStation in several one-evening workshops to entice prospective students to enroll in the 10-week experience.Transitioning the classroom into a COVID-safe digital environment was a wonderful challenge to take on in spite of a grim situation. I took my role as educator seriously in ensuring students felt safe and welcomed, learning often as respite from other things going on in their lives.

As is the spirit of the ecentricarts methodology, I had the immense pleasure of collaborating not only with my awesome coworkers but also directly with clients to ensure that their needs were properly met.ecentricarts continues to be a pinnacle of the accessibility front in Toronto's technology industry. While there, I had the opportunity to grow my accessible design practice immensely to be able to champion a11y in my following roles.I was also an active member of the ecentricarts accessibility team and social steering committee.

As a product designer at EventMobi, I was in charge of the user experience and user interface of our event registration product. This product is used by event planners and attendees of events and conferences on a global scale. I worked closely with salespeople, marketers, support staff, and developers within the company, as well as clients in order to ensure that my designs met their needs. I ran user testing sessions internally and externally, completed user experience research, and coded alongside developers to make sure the product was working as it should be.

It was a fast-paced environment with a new issue being created and delivered each week, especially considering that most of the design work had to be done in the last few moments of the news cycle (after the content had been produced).
