As a Structural Engineer, I worked closely with architects and the construction department to analyze project requirements. I designed layouts for both residential and commercial structures, performed load and stress testing for construction materials and equipment, and developed renovation models to meet safety standards for existing constructions. My expertise and attention to detail ensured the successful delivery of all projects.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Queensland, St Lucia, I took on a graduate role at Osborn Lane Consulting Engineers.

I worked full time during holiday and part-time during university semesters as a junior engineer assistant. I gained hands-on experience in designing with steel, concrete, aluminum, and timber. I learned skills in structural drafting, AutoCAD, NDN and Multiframe analysis programs. During my undergraduate studies, I participated in site inspections and management meetings, eventually moving on to complete smaller projects independently, and eventually tackling more complex ones.

At Paul Joseph Consulting, I collaborated with the principal engineer on designs for various residential and educational structures, including multi-level apartments, school buildings, and housing. My focus was on using reinforced concrete for the foundation and structural designs.
