About Chance Edwards

Chance Edwards is a multi-talented, creative individual whom has pursued his diverse interests to the fullest and adapted to the challenges presented to him. Since moving to Nashville in 2014, he has worked full-time as a content specialist for music management groups McGhee Entertainment, Borman Entertainment, and Fusion Music/Red Light Management. While at McGhee Entertainment, he has also served other roles such as tour manager to Jillian Jacqueline and as merchandise manager to Vintage Trouble. In 2020, the music industry shut down, so Chance quickly adapted by combining forces with his wife, Mackenzie Edwards. They took both their content backgrounds and formed Fitz Houz, LLC (a content firm) and homebodyHQ (a DIY brand & resource). As their DIY skills grew, Chance decided to expand his skills when presented with a fabrication position at Aero Build in May 2023. He accepted, and within his first year, he has learned how to build business trailers from scratch and earned a phase leader position as head of the finishing department. Chance also continues to run the business with his wife. Chance was born in East Tennessee but mostly grew up in Kenosha, WI where he was heavily involved with the local music scene. He received his B.A. in Public Relations & Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina.

  • Red Light Management
    Creative Manager
Red Light Management Sep 2018 - Sep 2020
    Nashville, Tennessee
I worked as a content curator and creative manager for Fusion Music (a subsidiary of Red Light Management) for two years. In that duration, I almost exclusively created photo, video and graphic content for Fusion Music clients including Martina McBride, Cassadee Pope, Laine Hardy, Riley Green, Jeffrey James, Ryan Kinder, and the estate of Don Williams. The content I created was mostly for promotional purposes centered around music releases and touring - album art, tour ad mats, promotional ads & posts, one sheets, posters, merchandise, websites, etc. I also worked significantly with the DSP uploading process (via The Orchard, Stem, Yangaroo, and Vydia) as well as some physical merchandising companies.I had the opportunity to work outside of the music industry with Martina McBride's many side projects. I created content for Martina's cookbook "Martina's Kitchen Mix," in which I also toured with her for book signings and TV appearances. I created behind-the-scenes content for Martina's Food Network show, "Martina's Table." I built nearly all of the promo material for Martina's podcast, "Vocal Point" in which I recorded video, took photos and built promo material for 25+ episodes. During COVID-19, I created promotional content for over 31 separate releases using content I had previously captured or by capturing content using CDC recommended etiquette, proper PPE and testing regularly to prevent spread. I also learned how to produce multi-cam livestreams through third-party applications and executed many for Cassadee Pope and Laine Hardy.

    Co Owner
Southern Class Cigars, Llc Aug 2013 - Dec 2013
    Columbia, South Carolina Area
Responsibilities My co-creator and brother, Zach Edwards, and I created Southern Class Cigars in early August of 2013 as an epiphany to sell cigars to tailgaters at the University of South Carolina and Clemson University football games. The 2013 football season was used to test the market and find out its potential as a business. After a couple weeks, we had acquired the start-up costs we needed through angel investors. I designed a memorable, classy logo for the vendor box and the fashion image to match. I also designed an Excel spreadsheet to manage each vendor's stock and revenue. On game days, I was responsible as a salesperson to sell as many cigars as possible before, during, and after the game. Cigar prices varied between $2.00 and $15.00 per cigar. We took cash, but we also took credit/debit using Square readers on our phones. Accomplishments I proved that I can own and operate a profit-turning business using the skills I learned through SGTV and school.
