A literal melting pot of fresh and novel ideas!Joining BCU about 18 years ago as an undergraduate student back during the days of the TIC (Technology Innovation Centre) which was part of UCE (University of central England). With a degree in Computer science and Electronic engineering and his areas of expertise generally fall into these two categories but is not limited to them. Over the years Chris has been part of many exciting changes at the university, some of which he has been instrumentally involved in steering and very much enjoys seeing these exciting changes come to fruition.Areas of interest are intelligent buildings and smart spaces, with particular leaning towards home, industrial automation and sustainable energy generation and storage. IoT is a massive driver of this interest. Green energy generation, battery storage technologies, domestic energy storage is another subject close top of his list.
