About Chris Armstrong

As President of Avante Properties, Chris oversees the company’s daily operations, directs personnel, and supervises the firm’s portfolio which currently includes 18 staff members, 800+ residential apartments, 150,000 square-feet of office, retail, and lab space, and 100+acres of improved land available for development. Chris is responsible for site selection, city approval, financing, and brokerage and leasing for the company’s current and future development projects.Chris graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship, and a BS and MS in Civil Engineering. He is the past Chair of the of the Madison Area Sports Commission (MASC) 2017-2020 and a current member, former Executive Committee Member of Destination Madison (2019-2021) and served as Chairman of the City of Fitchburg’s Community & Economic Development Authority (CEDA) from 2006 – 2015. He has also enjoyed coaching youth baseball and basketball since 2000.
