I completed my apprenticeship working for David Whelan at a variety of locations, including Midlands Prison and Edenderry power station. This work involved general electrical maintenance as well as conduit and trunking work, and some domestic installations. I also had an introduction to installing CCTV systems for domestic locations.July 2010 David Cooke.

I was subcontracted to Edenderry Power Station during their annual shutdown. The work involved general electrical maintenance, including replacing motors, lights, and switch gear as well as running in new cables and assisting in the cleaning of the main generator.

Harold’s Cross Dublin.This was a short term contract to carry out first and second fix of a new kitchen and trades block at Midlands Prison.

Continuation of electrical apprenticeship through phases three to five, including work on alarms, domestic wiring, and 3phase installations.

Learning all aspects of the electrical trade, as an electricians apprentice.

Duties included Dive Master, and skipper for dive charters. Dive tank testing and equipment servicing, as well as all ordering and stock management, cash handling, dealing with suppliers, customers and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the business.
