I have served in both Thames Valley and Sussex Police as a Police Constable. - Pro-active policing with several stop and searches completed in line with powers and policy.- Responding to emergency calls and retaining initial crime investigations through to court.- Interviewing suspects and completing quality focussed investigations.- Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment responding to emergency calls.- Effective communication with colleagues and members of the public.- Problem solving and conflict management.- Time management and dynamic risk assessment in line with the National Decision Model and Code of Ethics.Since 2018 I have worked in assessment and verification that falls under learning and professional development. - As a qualified A1 assessor and Internal Quality Assurer, I am responsible for the ongoing professional development of up to thirty student officers at any given time. I assess operational evidence and have a strong understanding of the PEQF programmes. I am also an IQA; responsible for ensuring the standardisation of assessment practices across the force. I am considered an expert in role.- I ensure I maintain a strong working relationship with all students and work with integrity to build trust. I communicate regularly with student officers, managers and external stakeholders. - I effectively manage my own diary and substantial workload. I possess excellent organisational skills and recognise the importance of forward planning to ensure deadlines are met.- I devise, enforce and review support plans with student officers who aren’t meeting the required standard. I ensure these support plans follow the SMART model. I am also involved in the extension (REG12) and removal process (REG13) of officers not reaching deadlines / targets.- Utilising strong stakeholder management skills in order to build robust relationships. I have built new relationships in a range of sectors, including the university consortiums. This has assisted Sussex Police and the student officers in their learning journey.- As a trusted member of the team, I onboard new team members and provide on-job training for trainee assessors; acting as a mentor to ensure they settle and integrate successfully in to the team. I have assessed the trainee assessors with their A1 award and conducted live assessor observations and learner interviews.I have been a Police Federation Representative since 2021. I am trained in Conduct, Equality and Heath and Safety. I have supported numerous colleagues during times of need.
