Architect and engineering lead for Gentrack's cloud-native integration product: Gentrack Cloud Integration Services. This product bridged self-hosted deployments of the core billing and operations systems with a cloud integration layer providing first-class availability, security, performance, and observability of all APIs.Increased observability led to identification and improvements in API latency and improved API design through consolidation.This was the first cloud-native development done at Gentrack and used AWS serverless technologies including Amazon API Gateway, Lambda functions, DynamoDB, and Simple Queue Service.• Product deployed to more than 30 enterprise customers globally.• Led to 80%+ improvement in round trip times across hundreds of APIs• Designed, implemented, and taught the necessary security controls and operational processes to achieve ISO 27001 certification and later SOC 2.• Above 99.95% measured uptime all while using continuous deployment supporting multiple production deployments a day.• Worked alongside Product Manager and Product Owner to align engineering, product, and customer priorities.• Mentored and coached engineers in distributed system design and cloud technologies.
