Design original, trend-right products for Michaels over multiple categories including kid's art and education, kid's crafting, yarn and stichery, fine art (painting) and fine art (drawing). Collaborate with trend team to create seasonal company-wide trends from concept to artwork. Conceptualize and llustrate seasonal trend art. •End-to-end footwear and accessory design responsibilities: line concept and definition, trend/color forecasting, footwear design (from concept sketch to line art, color story and materialization), headwear and accessory design (buttons, zipper pulls, eyelets, keychains, etc), graphics/packaging and POP design•Technical lead responsible for last creation/selection/modification, bottom unit design & specification including blueprint review and approval, material specifications based on style, performance and import duty considerations as well as pullover/prototype initiation and finalization•Product development responsibilities: color-up and material spec sheet creation, custom material creation and sourcing, cost oversight and negotiations, determining/assigning U.S. harmonized codes for import duty rate(s), oversee product commercialization processes and final inspection of manufactured goods•Lead responsible for design and development of Yums skate and BMX footwear product lines
