Reduced inventory value by 35% (USD $1.8m) over a 12-month period.• Led the retender for a new contract of private label water introducing a new supplier and a change in packaging resulting in a 20% reduction in cost, USD $136k p.a.• Joint project lead for business development of a key catering client resulting in successfully obtaining a major contract to supply shipping vessels, the French Navy and UAE Armed Forces with a total revenue of $15m p.a.• Introduced a lower quality standard of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables after market analysis determined our current product was above the required specification, this produced a 15% reduction in cost and increased customer order win rate with no compromise on quality or increase in customer complaints.• Implemented a new system-based pricing module to set accurate minimum base costs ahead of commercial pricing, ensuring procurement costs were in line with or below market prices and cost savings retained in line with budget. • Managed the department through a full new ERP system implementation from the legacy systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365 inclusive of best practice process mapping and employee training workshops.

• Created and implemented order models and demand forecasts for all global locations to optimize inventory levels considering short and mid-term average customer demand, order frequency, core assortment products, shelf life restrictions, and operational storage capacities. • Responsible and accountable for global stock management for all company branches for an inventory value of USD $19m.• Produced consolidated global central demand plans for all core assortment contracted items, driving standardization, spend volumes and cost savings throughout the group. • Managed a global stock accuracy project introducing stringent inventory control procedures, periodic cycle counting, adjustment reason codes and set KPI’s and dashboards achieving the group accuracy target of 98%. • Worked closely with Procurement Category Managers and vendors to determine Incoterms, maximize direct loading opportunities and use of central and regional distribution centres reducing transportation and overall landed costs through optimized supply chains.• Regularly utilized double ABC analysis for various models across multiple business units, these were used to determine core stock items, define the core assortment product range and relay the warehouse picking layout.• Participated in the implementation of a global master data project to implement a new item code structure and product hierarchy, this consisted of detailed data analysis, product categorization and linking of historical sales and spend data from old to new item codes.

• Led the entire supply chain functions for the US Military contracts in Afghanistan, Panama and Guam, and the UN Military Supply Missions in Africa and Middle East.• Managed supply chains with a total turnover of USD $1.2billion p.a, 20 warehouses and 76 staff of multiple nationalities.• Reacted quickly to a major military incident in Pakistan which resulted in the immediate closure of a primary inbound supply chain route impacting 350 in transit containers with a product value of USD $10m, by redirecting all shipments into the UAE and coordinating a multimodal transportation solution. • Proactively planned and executed a supply chain contingency plan to counter extreme transportation lead times during the winter months in Northern Afghanistan, in particular the treacherous Salang Pass, resulting in a customer service level of 98% throughout the challenging time period. • Successfully managed major troop drawdown from a peak feeding strength of 150k down to 76k people ensuring correct balance of inventory levels whilst maintaining customer service requirements. • Successfully managed a large US government driven project to ‘forward buy’ USD $73m of protein products in support of the US farmers ensuring accuracy of supply chain planning in line with storage requirements and with no loss of product to expiration. • Managed the complex mobilization of full supply chains for several new contracts of including United Nations missions in Mali, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Israel and Syria and US Government contracts in Panama and Guam.
