• Leading and managing a department of over 50 administrators, coaches and support staff with our primary objective bring to offer our students the opportunity to excel as student - athletes within our departmental values of PRIDE - UNITY - RESPECT• Responsible for the development and implementation of NTU performance sport strategies including the management of associated budgets. • Responsible for a variety of internal (inc. marketing, admissions, international) and external (inc. Nottingham Rugby, RFU, British Canoeing, FA) partnerships.• Representation of NTU Sport on local, national and international projects including delivering at national and international conferences. • TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme) site lead. • Sit as a representative of a range of BUCS advisory groups, which have included – Rugby Union and Hockey Sport Advisory Group, Sport Review Implementation Group (Membership Chair), Senior Managers Executive, Strategy Review Group, National Competitions Group.

- Responsible for the leadership and management of senior rugby and the development of a coordinated and stimulating coaching programme throughout all 15-a-side sections of the club. - Oversee the implementation of a long term player development programme to include skills, mental and physical development throughout the Core Teams- Take responsibility to develop and nurture HRFC Coaches through the club to support the player pathways. - Report to the Executive Committee on rugby matters and make recommendations on improvements/initiatives that need to be implemented.- Set behavioural standards for all teams and members and ensure that an appropriate ways of working is implemented across the club.- Be responsible for the recruitment and retention of players, coaches and team management.

Returned as Head Coach following 2 years leading the analysis programme. My key focus areas are set piece, attacking structures and core skills, as well as working with the DoR and other coaches to improve our quality of openness and information sharing with the player group and providing more relevant and detailed feedback. Produce individual game plans as and when appropriate and still manage our team analysis through HUDL

Responsible for analysing all first XV fixtures, providing written reports to the coaching staff and give ideas and guidance on opposition weaknesses

Reporting to the Director of Rugby I was responsible for ensuring we were using a variety of different coaching techniques and types of sessions to develop our players’ individual skills and the team strategy. I was also responsible for the team’s analysis not just on ourselves but also the opposition and the referee, whilst also managing elements of the club website, writing match reports and liaising with the local media on a weekly basis. The 1st XV where promoted to National 2 North for the 16/17 season after two consecutive 2nd place finishes in National 3 Midlands

Responsible for recruiting and then coaching a team to compete in the Bill Beaumont Cup, made up of players from numerous clubs in the county. Focused on implementing a clear way of playing reflecting the strengths of the players and the style of their clubs. Unbeaten in the 2019 campaign winning Bill Beaumont Division 2 at Twickenham and completing in Division 1 for the first time in the county’s history in 2022.

Working as part of the university sports entity ‘University of Nottingham Sport’, my role was focused on supporting the development of our student sports clubs in terms of their sporting performances, the quality of their club administration and ensuring they were working as part of all levels of the university’s holistic ‘sport for all’ pathway.

Nu2 Sport, an active universities project jointly run with Nottingham Trent University, involved project managing the implementation of a range of sporting opportunities across three campuses, targeting 1,000 students who weren’t already engaged in sport at university. Having led on the initial set-up of the project I have experience in all aspects of its development including volunteer and leader training, budget management and all areas of monitoring and evaluation, and was invited to present at the 2012 BUCS Conference on the success of the project in the first year.

My remit was throughout the playing section of the club, not just focusing on the performance level of the 1st XV, but also to ensure we got five senior teams playing on a regular basis. This was as well as working alongside the club committee to bring the senior and junior sections closer together, and Loughborough University to help improve the movement of players between the two. In the 2010/2011 season, the 1st XV gained promotion to Midlands 1 East for the first time in the club’s history, and we retained our league position at the end of the 2011/2012 season.

During summer placements whilst at university I was involved in the planning and running of leisure rugby events across the country, including O2 Scrum on the Beach and O2 Rugby Reunion, with my roles ranging from working as a team member under the project manager to leading on events such as the Newquay Beach Festival. On event days I regularly ran the control office, acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, requiring me to regularly troubleshoot and problem solve.
