I was responsible for training and developing team members within the department, while working with the Food Service Manager to ensure profitability and positive results of the department. I ensured team members adhere to the departments Standard Operating Procedures, proper production, display, and service of food, excellent customer service, and a clean and safe work environment.Responsibilities included: ordering and receiving food deliveries; scheduling; checking daily and weekly sales/movement reports, shrink reports, emails and responding accordingly; conducting monthly department inventory; maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department including all fixtures, storage, work stations, freezers, and coolers.

As the PM Food Service Supervisor, I performed a variety of dietary functions including daily meal service in the hospital and would oversee/monitor the AM and PM shifts in the Patient Services area. I would oversee daily performance for adherence to policies and standards and, when necessary, assist in disciplinary action, as well as recognize outstanding performance.Other responsibilities included: ordering; monthly inventory; scheduling; training staff; opening and closing kitchen; cash handling; assist in passing food safety inspections by maintaining a clean and safe working environment; using MS Office programs such as Word and Excel.As a cook, I would prepare appealing and appetizing foods for hospital patients, cafeteria colleagues and visitors, and special catered events. For patient's food, I followed strict, special diet recipes to ensure that patients receive their proper nutritional requirements. We were responsible for preparing over 400 meals per day. I trained and accomplished all the requirements in order to work any available shifts (AM, PM and overnight).
