Supporting the Head of Projects for the UK’s leading HDPE bottle manufacturer, managing upwards of twenty project team members in order to facilitate the successful implementation of various business strategic projects. Specialising in working with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver and close out projects. Responsibilities and achievements include:• Project manager for the design, build and installation of an all new, business critical, £1.6m blow moulding machine which included 6 months on site with suppliers in the USA• Project manager for the roll out of a new, multiple SKU, lightweight bottle design to the UK market with a budget of c.£2.5m spread over two concurrent customer projects• Construction of a custom, fully-featured, project management tool for use throughout the business based on PRINCE2 principles• Scope out projects and determine their return on investment• Directing project reviews including ascertaining and implementing lessons learnt• Creating and maintaining all project plans and managing their successful completion• Co-ordination of project strand leaders and the Nampak projects department• Managing contractors and suppliers• Assisting customers with trials including the creation of full technical reports• Identifying and communicating all risks to ensure the success of project plans• Awarded the ‘Outstanding Customer Experience’ award 2013 for delivering line efficiency improvements for our largest customer and supporting them through a major new product launch.
