Duties performed: • Review all Coating Specifications and communicate with Supervision, Project Managers, Third Party Inspectors and Manufacturer’s Representatives to ensure all specifications and procedures are followed• Monitoring / documentation of environmental conditions and storage conditions of protective coating materials• Order and maintain all equipment needed for various testing required to meet specifications• Maintain calibration of all equipment• Maintain traceability of protective coating materials prior to and during application• Monitor surface preparation, protective coating material handling and mixing, application monitoring and final inspection of finished product in order to maintain adherence to Industry Standards –SSPC / NACE / ISO and Project Specification• Identify and document all discrepancies while working with management and crew to correct any quality issues.• Maintain coating records / inspection reports• Black light inspection• Chloride testing on abrasives and surfaces• Bresle kit testing• Sieve tests performed• Hardness tests – durometer• Adhesion pulls• Dust tests• Blotter tests• Solvent tests – coin tests• X-cut and cross hatch testing• Low voltage / high voltage holiday detection• Visual inspections of completed loads of piping that are ready for shipment• Perform inspections at outside facilities when outside services are utilized• Training personnel to assist in coating inspection work
