 Monitor, maintain, and assign work for the design department. Review, assign, and follow up on quotes for potential work. Establish and maintain customer relationships.  Hire and train new designers. Provide, interpret, and diagnose issues with data for pick and place machines, test machines, fabrication, parts purchasing, and hand assembly for internal and external designs. Update and maintain licenses for software used in the design department. Submit bugs to software vendors, provide feedback, and follow up with solutions for design department.  Maintain and optimize scripts in VBA, VBscript, Batch, etc. to benefit all departments for efficiency and to reduce human error. Review designs and advise ways to optimize for cost, signal integrity, EMI reduction, and reliability in fabrication and assembly efforts. Interface and communicate with fabrication vendor, assembly vendor, mechanical and electrical Engineer for optimal performance, cost, yield, and reliability. Capture, redline, and review schematics. Build, verify, and maintain libraries for symbols, footprints, notes, and drawings. Design experience: o High speed digital designs. Including: SERDES(15 to 20 Gbps), DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, QDR, MRAM, LVDS, HDMI, 4k video, DMD designs, etc.o High current and/or high voltage designso Multi-lamination designs including blind, buried, stacked, and backdrilled vias.o Analog to digital conversion, audio, video, split planes, critical isolations.o Class 3 requirements for medical, military, FDA, and aeronautical builds.o Fine pitch devices including 0.4mm BGA’s and very small applications.o Flex and rigid-flex materials to fit electrical and mechanical needs.

 Diagnose hardware and software with HP/Compaq and Lenovo/IBM laptops and desktops  Completely disassemble and reassemble laptops and desktops  Replace/Repair any physical components and hardware after proper diagnoses  Re-Image customer’s hard drive as well as migrate personal data  Repair registry errors, remove viruses, install drivers, re-install proper software for factory specifications  Quality check physical appearance and functionality of repaired computers  Identify customer induced damaged and note which parts to bill customer  Take pictures of customer induced damage, log in network database and move unit to call center  Troubleshoot NTF units from other technicians before returning to customer without repair  Properly diagnose and repair second or more returns from previous inconclusive repairs  Log all diagnostic and repair procedures on network database  Assist Engineers in diagnosing Wistron manufacture defects in HP/Compaq laptops  Train new technicians for procedures and assist in repairing known problems
