PIP was an Executive Team sponsored Inclusion Blueprint initiative to provide work placement and career development support for 7 people from a refugee background who had gained their qualifications from overseas. I stood up his program which means:* Securing placements for 7 refugees (the original target was 5) across five Divisions in professions such as engineering, ICT, social work, medicine, planning, economics. * Providing one on one career development support for participants in entering the workforce, developing their capabilities, and securing ongoing positions in Council. * Providing leadership to host areas in Council in creating inclusive workplaces and ensuring a smooth transition into CouncilThis life changing program was highly successful with 6 out of 7 participants securing ongoing positions in Council. I also won a Lord Mayors Award in Social Justice for this program.

* Process manager for Capability Development, Induction, and Probation across Council* Design, develop and review tools, systems, processes to align existing processes to support implementation of new SAP system. * Create new Induction intranet pages to support streamlined induction checklist and improved induction process. * Support Talent Management Strategy leader on a wide array of initiatives to prepare for SAP implementation including capability mapping, compliance checking, system integration, scoping of system add ons (capability assessment tools)* Development of 70/20/10 learning on the job initiatives to upskill learning and development professionals* Drive cultural change to assist Council to achieve its Talent Management Strategy

* Managing two employees to deliver resume, cover letter, interview, job search, educational pathways and employability support to Brisbane’s professional migrants and refugees * Facilitated several careers workshops for refugees and migrants (approx. 100 participants)* Doubled the employment outcomes goals (paid employment, work experience, study) with less resources* Increased number of clients assisted from target of 100 to 169 using creative marketing techniques & negotiating with State Government to include participants who were due to receive their permanent residency before the program end date. * Presented to external bodies on how to overcome employment barriers in Australia (e.g., Engineers Australia, Southbank TAFE)
