• IT Infrastructure Manager leading the Windows, Unix and Network teams supporting over 700 servers at 12 sites worldwide.• Responsible for moving our datacenter twice. Once from Texas to Raleigh, NC and the second from Raleigh, NC to Morrisville, NC. • Lead technician responsible for implementing Tekelec’s VMware infrastructure and performing upgrades to the environment from version 3.5 to 4.1 to 5.0.• Managed the consolidation and virtualization of servers obtaining 70% virtualization and reducing the overall support and maintenance cost of the infrastructure.• Responsible for allocating and maintaining the overall budget for the Server and Storage infrastructure.• As Manager I’ve closed the gap between Windows and Unix teams trying to cross train as much as possible. This has helped improve overall diagnostic and support skills and helped reduced the time to ticket closure.• Lead technician for the Exchange environment and responsible for upgrading from versions 2003 to 2007 and finally to 2010.• Before becoming manager I was the Senior Windows Engineer and Team lead for the Windows team. I helped mentor coworkers with projects, support and the overall roadmap of technologies.• My team is also responsible for supporting the Desktop Support Team who provides level 1 and 2 support for end users. We provided level 3 support for the infrastructure and applications they supported.• Worked very close with the Database Administrators and Application Development teams, providing support at both the OS and application level.• Evaluated the Cisco UCS platform and advocated for its use and implementation at Tekelec which resulted in its deployment in 2011. The two primary uses are Oracle applications tier and VMware ESXi hosts.
