• Grew the Maryland Bird Conservation Partnership (MBCP) from an informal partnership into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. MBCP unites public and private partners in a collaborative, sustained effort to conserve Maryland's birds and their habitats and to connect people with nature through birds.• Launched Bird City Maryland, whose goal is to make communities healthier for birds and for people. Bird City Maryland has been officially recognized by Maryland’s Governor and Secretary of the Environment.• Created the Maryland Birds & Business Alliance to direct tourists and community members to businesses that support bird conservation and community sustainability efforts.• Initiated the Maryland Bird Conservation Symposium as an annual event to engage professionals and youth.• Established the Maryland Avian Research and Conservation (MARC) Fund for Youth as a small grant program for youth-led projects focused on conservation, research, and community engagement.• Administered the Black & LatinX Birders Scholarship fund.• Co-founder of Frontiers in Ornithology: A Symposium for Youth. The symposium focuses on cutting-edge technologies being used in avian research and study, careers in ornithology and how to pursue that focus in either higher education, vocationally or avocationally. The goal is to educate and inspire youth to take their passion for birds to a higher level. • Created a Maryland-wide Farmland Raptor program to coordinate nest box installation and monitoring for American Kestrels and Barn Owls, both Species of Greatest Conservation Need in Maryland. • Created a Maryland-wide Chimney Swift Conservation Program to coordinate public outreach on keeping chimneys available for swifts and installing and monitoring swift nesting towers.• Helped initiate the 3rd Atlas of Breeding Birds of Maryland and D.C.
