Wish Wood was started by my Grandfather when I was a kid. As he would chop wood for the fireplace, my cousins and I would pick up and carry the chips inside. We would then gather around the fire, picking out the right chip. Then we would use our crayons and write our wishes on them. One by one, we would press our wish into the chip and toss it into the fire.
