Moving into this role was an exciting change for me. I was able to utilise my skills gained in both Workers Compensation and Life Insurance claims management and bring it over to the general side. This was a challenging role in a lot of respects, Coverforce have a large client base nationally and we pride ourselves on delivering desirable outcomes.The insurance services offered at Coverforce are of vast variety, my team manages all lines. The specialist within this team were hand picked to ensure quality service to our customers is delivered and we achieved the best outcome.Over the past year the team has gone through a number of changes to ensure our customers needs are always met. Our streamlined processes now allow a much easier approach to managing claims.I have found that building and fostering relationships within the insurance industry has been key to achieving ultimate success. I'm constantly reaching out to customers, insurance professionals and other key contacts to find practical solutions to deliver quality outcomes and high level service to our customers.This role has been key to developing my managerial skills and understanding company processes and procedures.

I moved into the Life sector and commenced in Claims Consultant role at Coverforce. After understanding the product and managing claims, I ensured that I expended my knowledge of the Group Income Protection scheme and market.Within 2 years of moving to Coverforce I was promoted and I am currently managing a team of claims consultants, I oversee the running of 5 schemes and Policies. I'm responsible to ensure my staff are provided with all tools and training to make them successful in managing the product. I'm also responsible for the management and running of the dispute resolution process. I sit on the Internal Dispute Resolution Panel, and am accountable for the writing of our dispute letters. When a matter is referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service, I structure and write our defence in relation to these disputed matters. I have been involved in making commercial decisions to ensure desirable outcomes are achieved.I have developed strong relations with our customers and clients over the years.

This role consisted of many challenges and learning experience. I was involved in a project, whereby we were developing plans and structure to decrease the amount of long term Workers Compensation claims using experienced, structured and creative case management.The project results were directly reported to the CEO and COO. Significant results were achieved within the team, it was proven applying positive thinking to the management of long term claims creates results.Ideas and new plans for long term claims were shared across the organisation to be implemented in the day to day running of the business.

In this role, I managed a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims in the corporate sector. I was hired into a new developed team, whereby we had to manage the larger clients. I managed and built relationships with one of the largest department stores.This portfolio came with significant challenges, which I managed and adapted to. I was responsible for a managing the claims of a multi-million gwp account. I brought a strong focus on Customer service.In this role, I was would often meet face to face with clients, claimants, legal representatives, doctors and other providers undertaking and participating in claims review, case conferences, conciliation, and development of management plans.

This role required me to the face of QBE Workers Compensation, I worked offsite and the offices of one of Australia's largest brokers. I was responsible for management of the claimant for the largest Workers Compensation accounts managed by QBE under the NSW Workers Compensation scheme.I was successful in maintaining and building a great relationship with the client and claimant, plus many providers involved in managing these claims. I regularly provided claims reviews, and undertook ad hoc case discussion with relevant parties, which consistently meant I had to be fully up to date in all aspects of the portfolio.I regularly traveled in this role to regional location to meet with claimants, doctors, rehab providers and other parties to ensure outcome where achieved.

This was my first role into the Insurance industry, I was employed as an Administrative Assistant, before very quickly being promoted to a role of a claims consultant. I was provided with in house and external training, whilst managing a portfolio of commercial Workers Compensation Claim.Over the course of about a year, I moved into the corporate sector and managed larger organisations and built up my skills that allowed me to be successful with management of these claim.In these years, I continually put myself into challenging situations to ensure my knowledge and skills progressed. I ensured that I pursued the right training to allow me to be successful in the insurance industry.
