Starting as a school teacher aged twenty-one, I have had an extremely rich and varied career in education across the UK, USA, Mexico and Spain. As a school leader I developed a reputation as an agent of growth, cultural change and development. As Executive Principal I learnt that my strengths in financial and business management are as highly valued as my ability to work with young people and create safe, stimulating and rigorous learning environments. My role as Assistant Director of Education for Spain and Italy moved me further into providing coaching and support for school leaders. At the same time my work ensured accountability in schools as they provide educational and working environments that focus on excellence and character development whilst being supportive, evaluative, and being the best at getting better.My current role as Managing Director for Dukes Education in Spain sees me taking all I have learnt about service leadership to marry the languages of pedagogy, holistic education and private schooling in order to deliver the highest quality experiences for students and staff that will drive growth and success all.
