Currently a Senior Performance Officer with the Australian Government, my skills are in bringing people together, developing processes that work, and communicating effectively across audiences and cultures. I've worked with and co-ordinated diverse and complex teams in both large and smaller agencies, with expertise across communications, project management and co-ordination, design, and policy development and administration. Below are some career highlights: As Threatened Species Scientific Committee Secretariat (2014 - 2018) I supported the work of some of Australia's foremost ecologists in listing threatened species and ecological communities and considering the complex challenges involved in conservation in the context of the ongoing impacts of introduced species, climate change and human impacts. As Australian Human Rights Commission Secretariat (2018 - 2021) I co-ordinated policy work across a number of focus areas, as well as supporting the senior executive in management of regular processes across the policy portfolio of the Commission. As a Project Officer in the Commission's International Engagement team (2021 - 2022), I helped to embed human rights and human rights principles into education in Vietnam through the development of educational materials in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Political Academy. As Policy Adviser to the Disability Discrimination Commissioner (2022 - 2023), I connected with community leaders and NGOs on issues affecting people with disability in Australia, and combining these inputs with my own lived experience with disability, was proud to advance a number of submissions across a broad range of disability rights areas. Working with the Commissioner and colleagues to support the delivery of the first phase IncludeAbility project, aimed at improving employment outcomes for people with disability in Australia, remains a highlight of this role.In whatever I do, I'm committed to working across barriers of language and culture to build solutions that make sense, balance diverse needs, and foster a collegiate environment that builds on people's strengths.
