Key member of the thermal mechanical team that drove architect, design, build, test, and deployment/debug of the Aurora supercomputer. Individual skills gained/accomplishments:• Influenced first of its kind blade level architecture designed for fully liquid cooled system that enable support of processor TDP’s well beyond current roadmap. Was responsible for tracking the thermal margin of non-CPU/GPU components as well to ensure high system reliability and up time. • Collaborated across disciplines to drive design changes in board layout that balance signal integrity and solder joint reliability needs by understanding the unique customer use case and building detailed FEA models showcasing the tradeoffs of several different design solutions.• Managed third party development of highest risk mechanical components to enable modular architectures. Responsibilities for this effort included leading daily task force meetings with supplier to identify root cause, driving a design spin, presenting status updates to senior leadership, and developing robust design validation testing all while staying within mission critical schedule window.• Traveled to customer site to assist with at scale system bring up and train onsite staff how to maintain and debug field failures. Documented all learnings into concise training guide to allow customer to quickly and autonomously ramp new technicians. • Planned and coordinated with management to ensure proper resourcing and infrastructure for system level validation. Calibrated and characterized all test and data collection equipment to ensure speedy bring up.• Created automated scripts to run multiple test cases and analyze large data sets using LabVIEW and NumPy; enabling quicker and more concise communication to key stakeholders.• Authored training documentation on how to set-up and run tests to expediate ramp of new individual.• Wrote internal BKM on how to automatically import board components into Icepak.

Worked as a thermal mechanical engineer within Intel’s High Powered Computing team.Responsibilities include helping drive changes and adoption of advanced cooling methods that increased performance and efficacy while maintaining high reliability. Doing this required working closely with several different groups. Conducted first order analysis and thermal simulation to propose new ideas and pathways to team members. Concurrently I initiated and designed tests to correlate lab data with simulations and presented the findings enabling the liquid cooling industry.Individual skills gained/accomplishments:• Created parts and drawings in Pro E to add to the larger system assembly. Gained experience using Windchill for assembly/part management. Was a key member in a drawing release that involved over 150 individual drawings. Additionally conducted tolerance analysis at assembly level to ensure no clearance/tolerance issues.• Lead reliability testing of hyperelastic materials of advanced application. Was responsible for ideation, design, manufacturing, testing, and reporting of results. Also tasked with correlating results to time dependent hyperelastic model created in Abaqus. Later refined results by conducting sensitivity studies on individual factors as it related to Time to Failure.• Designed advanced modular cooling components for high-risk areas. Lead testing of components to determine key areas of impact on system level boundary conditions. In the process, was in charge of building up metrology infrastructure to conduct testing. This included gathering flow, pressure, and temperature data. Gained hands on knowledge of conducting the tests as well as post processing the data.• Worked with both internal and external vendors to enable the liquid cooling disconnect industry. Worked at Precision Measurements Inc. as a Metrology Engineer repairing and calibrating electrical and mechanical tools for ISO 9001 and 17025 certified customers. Gained experience in proper documentation as well as ISO auditing. Later promoted to Sales engineer with responsibilities to conduct daily meetings with C-Level executives and top QA personnel to build, establish new, and renew services. Frequently meet with internal and external auditors on customers behalf to discuss new SOP’s and requirements.Individual skills gained/accomplishments:• Meet with high-level execs from multiple industries including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, bio testing, semiconductor, and custom manufacturers to create and renew partnerships between respective companies.• Worked with companies/customers to update SOP’s and become ISO 9001/17025 compliant.• Functioned as metrology technician in times of need.• Enacted new procedures to ensure that quality and customer satisfaction was top priority.• Reached sales goal and increased revenue in each quarter of employment.

Functioned as the Quality Control Lead for both in-coming and out-going parts to meet “Copy Exact” requirements. Frequently authored First Article Inspection reports for new products to market as well as Corrective Action Reports when requested by vendors. Internship (during summers and winters) at Edwards Air Force Base with experience in designing parts and components for small remote controlled aircraft using CAD/CAM computer software and hand drawings.
