As a partner and head of the Energy, Projects & Construction group (North) at leading international law firm CMS, I specialise in complex and innovative construction, engineering and infrastructure deals. I have advised on a large number of projects across many sectors including energy, nuclear, transport, waste management, defence, commercial development, regeneration, education and health. I am currently working on some of the most high profile projects being procured in the UK and overseas. These include new high-speed railway stations at Euston and Birmingham in the UK; new nuclear power stations at Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C in the UK, at Choczewo in Poland and at Cernavoda in Romania; and a new state-of-the-art eye hospital and research centre for Moorfields NHS Trust and UCL in London.I write for a number of industry and national publications - including Construction News, Building Magazine and The Times and I am an occasional 'talking head' on BBC Breakfast, BBC News and BBC Radio 5Live.
