Entertainment ManagerAnimation Greece Apr 2012 - Oct 2015Rhodes, GreeceI went into this job as an entertainer but within the first 6 weeks I was thrown into the deep end and put into a managerial position due to changes in circumstance and thrived on it. In this role I managed the entertainment for a 1000 guest hotel with a team of 4. Our main aim was to make sure our clients enjoyed their time with us and wanted to book a return visit. We also strived to create good publicity for the hotel and company on travel sites such as TripAdvisor and had a great record doing this. My main duties were to organise daily activities, evening shows and excursions. I loved this position and gained some great managerial experience and furthered my skills in public relations and problem solving. From working abroad I have also managed to build a large network both in the UK and across Europe. We used this network to create publicity through social media for the hotel I managed and others in the chain to secure further business. This was seasonal work from April to November and in the winter time I contracted in mechanical engineering for a crane building company which is also listed here with the same dates. Although in my first 2 years (2012 - 2013) I stayed in Rhodes and worked in construction within the hotel complexes.
