Hired to lead transformative change across Financial Management, HR and Benefits, IT, and Facilities• Financial Management: Responsible for developing an annual budget of $4M+. Oversee all financial activities, which involves working with an external accounting firm to manage bookkeeping, reporting, and the annual financial audit and tax preparation. Responsible for managing federal and state grants worth $1.5M+ annually; including applying, tracking, and compliance reporting. Improved budgeting and forecasting capabilities by implementing an account coding system.• Human Resources: Created and operationalized multiple employee policies and guidelines, including the COVID-19 response and remote work policy. Worked with CEO on salary and benefit benchmarking to ensure equitable compensation for all staff. Annually work with benefits broker to review benefits. Implemented first-ever 401K plan and influenced company match. Researched, selected, and implemented a new payroll, onboarding, and benefits management tool transforming efficiency, effectiveness, and regulatory adherence of Human Resources capabilities. Worked with the Executive Director and Leadership Team to streamline and improve the employee handbook. Proud mentor and advocate for the employee population.• Office Administration: Responsible for day-to-day office operations and facilities management; including purchasing, systems planning, vendor negotiation, and contract management. Successfully orchestrated an office design and move that increased the usable square footage by 300% to better meet the needs of our constituents. • Information Technology: Responsible for all IT functions for two separate locations and spearheaded multiple long-term projects to improve accessibility and functionality, including installing a VoIP phone system, transitioning the file storage system to Microsoft SharePoint, and improving the cyber security and antivirus protection.
