Chris Helms is an experienced and thorough leader who serves as the General Manager of Velox Professional Services. With over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, I specialize in process and workflow optimization, while focusing on end-to-end program management. I have overseen the planning, design, and engineering of multiple city-wide FTTH deployments (local and international), numerous long-haul/middle-mile projects, negotiated with fiber owners to obtain IRU agreements on behalf of customers, overseen thousands of as-built postings and project close-out documents, and delivered this data in multiple formats (.pdf, .gdb, .shp, .kmz, .dwg, .dgn, etc.). I pride myself on my ability to meet the expectations of the customers that I serve, internal and external. To complete these functions, I have developed a diverse skillset that supplies me the ability to deliver data to customers as they need, being able to review and identify obstacles within a network plan, develop processes, and develop relationships with clients, partners, and other key stakeholders.My true passion and specialty when referencing work is program and project management where I leverage my prior experiences and skills to oversee and effectively manage projects/programs in varying sizes and complexities. Whether it be through integrations or just grit, working through problems and getting projects running smoothly is something that I am truly passionate about.Some of the skills and programs that I am experienced with are: Google and Microsoft suite of products, Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), 3-GIS, IQGEO, Vetro, ESRI products, QGIS, Smartsheets, Vitruvi, Render, PostgreSQL, and many other systems.Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing golf, taking in different sporting events, and spending time with his family, traveling as much as possible. He is a lover of sports and closely follows the NFL and NCAA football. He is passionate about developing and leading young men of the next generation to be strong, Godly, leaders within their homes and communities.
