About Chris Holst

Experienced professional with a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Western Washington University. I have a demonstrated history in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industry and I am skilled in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Synthetic organic chemistry and Analytical chemistry. As a Medicinal chemist I was responsible for the method development and synthesis of small molecule drug candidates for lead optimization for a Contract Research Organization (CRO). Following this I performed the isolation and structural elucidation of novel natural products as part of a multi-disciplinary team as an Analytical chemist. My other projects included the isolation and identification of minute impurities in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) in support of customer projects. This involved designing and performing LCMS and semi-prep HPLC methods to overcome many challenging separations.Currently, I am a Lab Manager and Senior Production chemist in the large-scale production of chemical reagents used in downstream manufacturing of oligonucleotides in compliance with current GMP standards.
