• Responsible for development of the design philosophy and scope of works, following receipt of the Clients remit.• Responsible for the compilation of the design project fee.• Responsible for the provision of the ‘best value’ working design solutions to technical problems and responsible for coordinating the workload of the sub-team, ensuring the timely delivery of information.• Provision of sufficient information to enable technicians to produced detailed design drawings suitable for construction.• Responsible for the production of written reports and specifications.• Responsible for checking the work of others and providing assistance to their continued learning and development.• Working knowledge of Statutory Regulations, Standards, Codes of Practice and principal building materials. Responsible for ensuring designs are safe and compliant with all necessary H&S Legislation.• Undertake site visits and attendance at design review meetings, acting as a point of contact with the Client.• Coordinate the appointment of sub-consultants / specialists as necessary and subsequent management to complete the design process.
