Working within a small team that included in house buyers, site managers and planners along with external consultants such as approved building control inspectors, structural / civil engineers, and electrical contractors. I was involved with all stages of the “post planning” side of the construction process from creating the technical drawings, clearing planning conditions and submitting NMA / MMA applications, to checking / appointing consultants to work alongside. Co-ordination was also part of my role when looking at supplier information relating to things such as beam / block, floor / joist and roof truss layouts as well as kitchens / bathroom layouts.My role also extended on occasion to procurement of services for site (gas, electric, water etc.,) along with the opposite end of the scheme in dealing with our sales team producing legal and boundary drawings along with co-ordinating all the certificates for building control and the various warranty providers. This was then uploaded on to your document managed system / client portal (house builder pro).I have worked mainly within AutoCAD over the last five and half years producing the detailed design for traditional and timber frame construction projects on developments of 4 – 24 units, all of which have been within the private residential sector.
